Information regarding the Jackson American Legion Post

Building and Restoration Fund

for Jackson's historic building at Cache and Gill Sts.

We have recently completed phase one of this project with the help of generous donations from members of our community, but much work still needs to be done. When it is done, our fund drive will be over. We thank you for any support you can provide in grant writing, donations to our fund or through the Community Foundation and Old Bill's Fun Run, or donation of services. Please contact our fearless leader and former Post Commander, Larry North by email or phone (733.7329) with any questions. Donation flyers with a history of how this unique building has made its mark on our community for the last 75 years, are available in a box in front of the Hall itself. More information and photos of our progress will be posted below. Thanks for visiting.

Construction1 Construction2

We have recently finished (August 04) this phase of remodeling the interior along with log infusions, roofing, electrical improvements and more. Larry North has gotten a donation from 5 anonymous individuals for $100,000. that was included in the 2004 Old Bill's Fun Run event. Several newspaper articles reported it & Larry deserves our thanks for his efforts.

Speaking of Old Bill's, here are two photos from the event, the first with Dennis Lamb, David Bentlage & Ian Moore. The second is with Dennis & David commanding the Scout honor guard that presented the colors before the start of the race. Participating that day were: David, Dennis, Larry, Larry Kummer, Walt Farmer & Bob Moore.
